Electrical Isolation Transformer
Isolation transformer is also voltage transformer. There is no direct connection between the two windings. They are connected only by the intangible lines of magnetic flux in the core. In some types of circuit the transformer may have 1.1 turns ratio that is to say non step-up or non step-down action. The only function of this transformer is to isolate the circuit from the supply.
